Sunrise at Midnight

  • is Each moment I am blessed with love, compassion, and Spirit!!

Sunrise at Midnight

Locked in a basement forcing smiles behind reluctant eyes,

Can you feel the creeping feeling of pain?

You almost welcome this,

For just to feel again is such a powerful release,

How could such elevating feelings of Spirit come from such a state of total darkness?

Don’t question,

Just laugh, and cry, and soak in the rays of light,

Invite the compassion to return,

In many ways, you are like a newborn baby learning to live again,

So vulnerable….

Each baby step moves you from the chaos,

Away from selfishness,

Away from the linger of death and decay,

Away from destruction,

Into the sunrise.

I call this the illumination of DARKNESS. Digg'n those lyrics.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
