    Summer's End

Oh, the wonderful moments shared beneath the
    sun so bright,
The ocean, the camping, the ball games and on
    good days, even a kite.
Flowers blooming into beautiful hues of color
    so intense to the eye,
And the smell of heavenly fragrances linger
    the space where they lie.
    Good ole' watermelon, cucumbers, cantaloupe
    and cabbage..how yummy,
Now a good ole' tomato sandwich would be
    good in my tummy!
ATVs, go carts, dirt bikes racing in the
    sunlit fields,
Always competing for the best set of wheels.
So much fun we had before this summer's end,
We will be patiently waiting until we meet
    again.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
