    These Walls

    In these walls, a place with no escape.
    People with attitudes blaming others for their own stupidity and rage.

    Clancking sounds of metal being locked away from freedom.
    The smell of decrepit cinder blocks lingering in the frigid air.

    Commotion on the catwalk outside the coop is dreadful and non stop.
    Praying for daylight and silence.

    In these walls, a place with no escape.
    I will see freedom. Today I can escape.
