Stepping Stones

The path we choose to walk in life is one we'll tread forever. Whether a week or a whole hundred years it's the time we all spend together. Now family comes and sometimes they go, so do our friends, enemies, and our loved ones. But no matter where we end up, we're only here for a moment, even the bottom dwellers all lived up above once. Coexisting's a bitch, i think it's simple to see that, but it's easy when we love who we live with. But hidden from view what i can't stand in u in myself changes need to begin with. We give out advice, lessons learned throughout life, that the ones who succeed seem to follow. We give and we take, but our trademark mistake, is our faith in expected tomorrows. Cause guarantees in life r slim, but theres a couple that we've proven we can count on. If we live we will die, if we love we will cry, if we eat all the time we'll put some pounds on. Cause and effect, they're the laws that we live with, it seems we're governed by mystical forces. They say Karma's a bitch and at times even vicious, be us wise while we choose what our course is. There is good and there's bad in every chance had, there's a left and a right it's quite simple. But we'll all reach that fork in that proverbial road and it shall separate righteous from sinful. There is peace and there's war and we all enjoy both, but when we get what we want it's our favorite. We all want the best, but whether we get it depends on who we spend everyday with.
