    Solitude

    Solitude is where im home,
    Sitting silent, alone,
Swirling in a magnitude of thought,
Contemplaiting the nothing my pain has brought,
    Swimming but drowning,
    The waves all surround me,
    Cant pull me back up,

    Solitude, sweet solitude,
    Is all I know now,
Bitter sweet flowing through my veins,
I run into its blanket and feel its warm embrase,
    This is where im safe,
    Always safe,

    Solitude, Ill always stay,
    Never will I stray,
Nobody can hurt me or desert me,
My Solitude will be my way,
    It always understands,
Conscoling the world wont always feel this gray,
    It hears my spirit sing,
We sing the song softly to eachother,
    It makes me feel okay,

Solitude, I cant stay here forever,
    Drinking your tempting poison,
It lays me down to sleep,
What is life when there is only dreams and no action,
Its like sitting to watch a movie, but you never press play,
    Worthless, Its nothing,
I dont want that to be me,

    Dear Solitude, My oldest friend,
You have to let me go,
Please you must let me fly
Its time for me to leave this nest,
Find some strength to hold onto,
    Not live lonely like you,

But I just cant let go,
I walk a mile, get scared and turn around,
Oh when will I be able to let go,
    When will I break free,
Take me to a time where I was loose from the chain,
So long back to the past where everything felt right,
    No cloud in the sky,
No reason to ask why, just believe,

    But far from innocence,
I glare at the sun so bright in the sky,
Im not ready, I run back to the cloud,
    Solitude, Home,
    Solitude is where Im home.

Solitude can really drag you down...gets kinda boring after awhile. Good poetic impression...

This is good work...if it's coming from personal events, I'm sorry to hear you've been hurt. If you care to go to my site, I have an encoragement poem for just such occassions. "The Flight of a Song Bird" It's been on there for a while but feel free to read it. I hope all turns out well.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
