    Seconds or Centuries

How will time be measured in eternity?
When it’s just you and I,

Will we be counting by seconds, knowing how precious each one is?
By years, not fully absorbing how quickly they go?

Or maybe by centuries where the only things that will notify us of time change will be the progressing of fashion and technology.

Or perhaps all perceptions of time and space will fall away, and the earth will stand still below our racing lust.

Until we reach eternity, we must measure our moments in blinks.
    1.2..3...4….

    ENDLESS

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
