I don't want to be alone when the world ends

I Don’t Want to be Alone when the World Ends

    And they tell me,
“You’re heartless for sleeping while he dies.”
…But he was born to die,
to disintegrate in his bare graveyard-
as much as airplane pilots whose planes crash,
    or sailors who drown,
or the greater numbers of us who just stop breathing and turn blue in attended beds.

“You whine: you drink vodka: She groans revenge.”

    Cocaine
    Sex
    Repeat

    Still
    the dream to whisper
“The coast is clear. Please come out! This underground business has lasted far too long!”

    Relent Recover Re-immerse

I don’t want to be alone when the world ends.
