Poem Commentary

pain some one felt at sometime in life

screaming

She is screaming inside
Trying to cover but she can't.
She hurts herself with blades
Glass and anything she can find.

She attempts to cover her pain
With alcohol and drugs,
But she can't help herself
And feels that no one else cares.

She overdoses and curls up
Until death overcomes her.
Now she is finally dead
But no one else cares

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
