Richard is married?

Poem Commentary

Met a guy at the club last night, cute but married! I think his name must have been Richard!

Richard is married?

Oh, For goodness sakes!

Don’t you have a brother? Or some other

friend or foe you know

who can go the distance without my resistance?

Have you some clone so I won’t be alone or wait by the phone while she gets to own

your every part and break my heart? This won’t be smart! Since I know from the start

that I would rather die than ever try to cry over somebody else’s guy!

Spare me the strife, Go home to your wife and enjoy your life, Dick.

This was a very good poem, it expressed all the emotions that go into convincing yourself to make a bad decision. The fight that the mind must be subjected to when both the heart and flesh turns against it. GOOD JOB!!!!

You just gave someone a scalding scolding! And I got to watch. Harv

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
