Real Smiles
I see him
He sees her.
They see the fake smiles
Looking like statues
Frozen in place trying to look happy
Her eyes glow with hope
His look to the past.
Stop faking it.
He screams
Trying not to let them hear.
She fakes a smile
Everyone thinks it's real
a tear falls
but she quickly wipes it away.
He has sadness spread across his face
eyes confessing his story to everyone
wishing and hoping he could erase the past.
I'm an eagle he says
something changed, though
both are happy together, with
Real smiles.
