  • Im on the move and cant be stopped no matter what comes my way

Real life

back in the day when I was a kid
my mother scolded me for bad things I did

had to be in the house before the street lights
didnt have much money so food was very slight

now that Im grown I've learned many lessons
to keep my friends and family close and count my blessings

teach my kids the difference between wrong and right
and for them to say they loved us each and every night

because in the real world real life is not for play
because one day this life will be gone away

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
