    RAIN & SNOW

    standing in the pouring rain
all of a sudden the snow began
    largest snowflakes I've ever seen
yet still came the rain, how can it be

I've seen it flood like a river
and snow so hard it makes you shiver
but until now I've yet to behold
the pouring rain in blustery snow

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
