Political Confusion

In arms we welcome this  place called home
but in amazement we trample our brothers all along
to our enemies were the best of friends that we can be
for too long we stood emotionless to their calls
sometimes i wonder if were there at all
to busy are we amending what we did wrong
to notice our brothers, our friends the ones we have known
now the enemy turns against us
were are our Friends we treated so bad
there not here not to be found forever gone

so true. when have put to much influence and trust in the governement. true the essence was a beautiful thing. why not have someone that can speak for us on a broad skeme of things, but they stop talking for us and only their own goals. very good write

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
