Picture Perfect
If picture perfect is what society accepts, how do I get the looks, the body, the talent?
Is it inborn or do I have to learn,
ugly duckling as I am, when is it my turn?
The mirror tells a story as sad as can be,
disgusted by face and body, the razor bleeds.
Three little lines permit garnett to overflow,
dripping to the ground, masterpiece is 1st in show.
Is this the answer to all my problems,
the rush of life leaving my being?
I think I made a mistake, please stay,
stay here in the real, the mirror is lying.
To the world as a whole you are different,
to the world individually, you are for keeps.
Sing with your heart instead of your head,
thoughts soon fade, ones where you're better off dead.
Picture perfect is a term the "pretty ones" use,
to differentiate themselves so they feel better.
Pay no mind, they are oh so incorrect,
from where I stand, the picture in the mirror.......perfect.
