Miracles
Complete strangers have profound impacts, when unexpected pitfalls cross our paths.
Whether in need of friendship or help,
when they call, you have to answer yourself.
Should they offer food, place or money,
unless pride gets in the way, they offer me.
A chance to change, to be, to grow stronger,
as miracles work within, you hold on longer.
This month alone has seen miraculous change,
night and day from what this soul used to be.
Black, cold, unfeeling, this heart was dark,
it took the words of your child to find its mark.
When I met her, I was too adamant to listen,
"God doesn't believe in me, why believe in him?"
Pessimism racked my life leaving me nothing but alone,
at last the Gemini spoke, her words brought me home.
Albeit I am not a thumper perse,
I have no doubt miracles happen everyday.
When times get tough, open your eyes and ears,
God uses people to save us, all you need is to hear.
