    Patience for love

     It has been a year since Fate brought you to me
    I loved you, lost you, and now friends we shall be
    Many months have passed since we last talked
    I still remember our first date, our first kiss and our walk
    If I could make just one wish, you know what it would be
    I'd go back to that first date and take things very slowly
    I see how scared you are, letting your heart go to where it has been
    My dream is to love you and hold you in my arms once again
    I see now how I must wait with patience for you to see 
    That I have always been here waiting for you to love me
