    OUR LAST PHOTOS

    6-23-09

    Our last photos,
     Frozen moments, out of context.
    Merely vignettes of memories.
    Memories of Us.
Memories of our last intimate encounter,
Our last expression of love for one another,
    Our last night of passion,
    Our last dance.
    Memories,
    Etched into my soul,
    carried into my eternity.
    The longing for you,
Your kiss, your taste, your touch.
    An ache, never to subside,
A thirst, never to be quenched.
    Memories,
Only the pathos of which remain.

I like it, and wish you would have teased us with one little hint. Are you a widower, or a lover scorned...?? Just a hint.

Beautiful thoughts and words. Would make for a great song!!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
