OPEN HEART

OPEN HEART

Many paths lead to
The open heart
You my enter through
The ventricle of exhausted blood
To be revived by the breath
Of the great wide atmosphere
You may flow into the auricle
Which will then send you out
To the the far ends of the body
As the life giver
The open heart draws in
The weary, tired and used
And pumps out
The oxygen essence of life

The open heart is attached
To the small body
The great body
And the infinite body
So everything thrives

Ok this is a very good poem with some anatomy added to how things get into and out of the open heart - I really loved it .... KDS

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
