ON THE WINGS OF A DOVE…
ON THE WINGS OF A DOVE…
There once lived
This happy soul
And everybody liked him
For his heart was of gold
He always sang
And danced with Love
Just an innocent soul
That got pushed with a shove
There came these cross-roads
Within his life
As he compared his decisions
Like a sword to a knife
Not knowing which exact
Path he should follow
He looked up to the sky
With a lump; could not swallow
He spoke of these words
As they rolled off of his lips
For his Love for the Lord
As he blew Him a kiss
“I am not happy here—
I know not what to do”
Then God gave him a sign
Watching wings as they flew
Flying off in a distance
Behind the clouds--but still clear
Now he had all but one answer
He had Love--without fear
He wasn’t quite sure
If his righteousness was valid
So he surrendered his ears
And experienced this ballad—
“There once lived—this happy soul
And everybody Loved him—for his heart was of Gold
He always sang—and danced with Love
Just an innocent soul—on the wings of a dove”
