    Nightmare realm

The struggle the fight the utter devastation
The pain the horror the complete annihilation
Sons and daughters lost and broken, pain uncounted
Warriors strive to win the day
    Politicos hide ashamed to say
    Retaliation for unremembered injury
Mothers clutch their husbands and worry
Who did what and why forgotten in the chaos
Who survives to count the loss?

War invented to save the peace
    Unreasonable hatred becomes a beast
Men indentured to secure freedom’s hope
The battle becomes a slippery slope
Our young suffer the elder’s wisdom
Given dreams of a loving kingdom
Dreams that never seem to be fulfilled
We just see our best friends killed

How to end this mindless mess
    How to stop this Godlessness
When fights begin and never end
When man believes a God did send
Some power to him and no other
He will rise and sadly kill his brother

On and on and on it goes
No one can stop it, no one knows
We pray we wish we even pretend
The madness will one day end
And end it will with a simple touch
Button pushed and then the rush
    A brilliant light
    No more fight

An emphatic plea to the hate, crimes, and war in this world. This poem is a wake-up call. Nice job framing all your examples. You might lke my poem "Is it What it Seems" a slightly different twist on a smilar topic. Ginga

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
