I didn't know it
But it was a surprise
When I turned it on
I was shocked
She said, "hello darling, my long lost neice"
"Please give me a call when you get this"

I was out of state when I tried to call
I couldn't get through but finally did
I was so happy
I shouted, "Hi Auntie!"

It was a short chit chat
Back and forth
We could not catch up over the phone
I said, "let me call back when I get home"

The date was set for the 4th (January 2005)
I could not wait to see her again
The drive was long so it seemed
To see her again was like a dream

It had been years since our last meeting
Inside my heart, it was beating
Then I saw her I couldn't believe it
I held her so tight and didn't let go
I cried so hard, I missed her so
