    My Constant Battle
    She seeks for freedom
    It's a constant battle inside
    For me to let her go
    All I want to do is protect her
    And keep her safe
    But it's a constant battle
    When I have to tell her no

    I'm tryin to come around
    And understand what she wants
    What she needs
    It's a constant battle inside
    I'm fighting myself to let go
    I try to tell myself that I once was there
    But it's a constant battle
    For her to understand that no means no

    So what it comes down to, I guess
    Is that I have to use good judgement
    And trust what she says
    But again, it's a constant battle
    As her word is all she has to offer
    But in order for the battle to cease
    I have to take her on her word
    And let her go

    This is also true - you can't always be there to protect them and their judgement will come to play when the parents away - instill good judgement within them and pray for the best - let them know you done everything within your power but they must do the rest... KD
