    My Son?

She spent the night at my house.
Nearly an hour in my bathroom and
    she is cursing.
    Yelling she is late but
    I don't see her rushing.
    "You got me pregnant."
    I might be crazy but
    that's mamas baby, papas maybe.
A week ago was our first and only time
now she wants to claim the baby is mine.
    We need that test.

I think the DNA test is a great equalizer. No longer can the woman (who sleeps around especially) lay the blame at whomever she chooses, wreaking havoc, and no longer can the man shirk his duty by saying it's not his. This is a great poem..............food for thought.

yet another good poem explaining the situation at hand - my son? Keep up the good work... KD

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
