    CauseOfBalance

Cause of balance… balance has no just cause.

Surround in philosophy, trapped in mythology,

Seems he has a vendetta against me.

He is like Calixta, abandoning himself to Dionysian ecstasy.

I hope he returns to an Apollonian routine, tending to his responsibility.

Enlightened individuals have an obligation to the rest of society,

That, I am sure, doesn’t include his persecution of me.

You are young, my son, and, as the years go by,

Time will change and even reverse many of your present opinions.

Refrain therefore awhile from setting yourself up

As a judge of the highest matters.

Your only task was to ponder a rhetorical question.

    Personal attacks were not necessary

    Since you did already,

I will ignore your ill will for

No evil can happen to a good man, either in life or after death.

Since I have read the work of an unbalanced cause

I see he needs things to rhyme so I will comply.

Words can hurt like weapons and

    Ignorance never settles a question.

So before your mind gains mileage,

To be conscious that you are ignorant is a great step toward knowledge.

We all seek what we think is most genuinely in our own interest.

If we act with knowledge, then we will obtain what is good for our soul,

But if the consequences of our action are not what is good for our soul,

Then we had to have acted in ignorance.

This is was an excellent poem of response - you used wisdom and intellect to handle and defuse the situation - I loved that ... KD

this is clever, i am not going to lie. i would completely agree with all of this, and say this is your best poem by far. bravo, it is getting a 10. you see, I try to bring down no one, and only try to inspire them, which I have obviously done here. you inspired me, it goes hand in hand. perhaps we both mis interpreted each other, I, like all of my poems, make the elaborate point that I strive to walk the middle ground, the path of humbleness. i use much sarcasm in my poems, so one could use it to say the opposite of my intended messages. i would gladly elaborate on any of my poems, and ask you do the same with yours. But you must understand, you came at me when you did not understand what I am doing, and I could perhaps say I did the same to you. Lets start clean, and if we are to debate, we must acknowledge the principle of reciprocity, which states we must state our opponents position to the extent they would agree with it, that way we know what we are working with.

We have so much more in common than we thought, and I know you and I can exchange meaningful conversations. i just keep going, dont i? so yes, your comments impacted me deeply, and hurt me deeply. But I deserved it. but i beg your apology. i think we are really partners in this world, but we did not see it at first. we can both kill this cancer, i am serious. read that daniel quinn book i was talking about, you will understand and find it as brilliant as i do.

if you do not accept my apology and we cannot go on further as friends, I will definitely remove my works and myself from this virtual world of original poetry. it is because if you honestly think this about me, I have no business keeping my works so others can see. im dead serious man. thats how much your comments affected me. like i said, the ANTITHESIS of what i am trying to do. if people are taking my works to mean what i despise, then i am to try something else. this is all i know, man.

Thank you, I do enjoy a compliment whenever I get the chance.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
