My Light

My Light

As we look to him, we ask.. are we not worthy of his love

As we look into our selves, we know the truth in side

Of flesh and bone, mere mortal are we man of God

Blessed by your warm embrace children cold and alone

Shed not my tears for my eyes are dry

Calm still may I be, my heart beats with a rhythm strange

Yet unto me…

I challenge this day to bring me to that of which I seek

A journey began in my mind carved out like fine stone

Every day I am closer to the end every day I wake to the

Days end…Lost no more on a distant shore waiting for rescue…I am free…

Thank you.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
