Moving Forward
Walking slowly into the room she looks upon her now old and sick
Twenty years past since last she faced her
Time stood still as bitterness erupted to the surface
Different thinking and understanding from growth and trial became forgiveness
Sad regret was all she felt
She being true to love always felt moved forward
Sitting next to her she took her hand in hers and began the healing
Talking gently of times past gone Sweet and bittersweet memories of when times were good
Time before her mind began to bend
Gently smiles and memories came to the surface
Slowly she rises and looks gently upon her mother now old and ill
Softness now in the sad lines around her face
No more bitterness no more regret
Peace washes over her as she turns and walk away
Walking slowly out of the room
