    More Than Just A Dad

I sit here, my eyes full of tears
Thinking of my friend, throughout the years,
All the fun times, together we had
to me, you were more than just a dad.

All the fun, and all the joy
Was better, than any store bought toy,
All the secrets, that we shared
The look inyour eyes, showed you always cared.

    Playing together,on the floor
Even when you were tired, and sore,
Fun times, that will never go away
I think of them, each and every day.

I close my eyes, we are together once again
Playing, laughing, like we did back then,
You were the best friend, that I ever had
To me, you were more, Than just a dad.

    Very touching and heartfelt!!!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
