    A Wonderful Dad

Its been five years since you went away
I think of you each and everyday
Even though we are so far apart
Your memory is always in my heart

You know sometimes I lay awake and cry
    Wondering why Godlet you die
But God let me keep memories of the fun we had
You were the best thing in my life you were my dad

Oh all the secrets that we shared
When I was hurt or sad I knew you cared
The times we spent together just us two
You know dad I will always love you

Sometimes when I call I wish you would answer the phone
Maybe then I wouldn't feel so alone
You are in my heart through good times and bad
Thank you God for such a wonderful dad

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
