City Life
There's a time to laugh, a time to cry
A time to live, a time to die,
Best friend, just got shot in the head
He's laying in the middle of the street dead.
Police say, it was gang related
My friend, was the kind that never hated,
Ambulance comes, takes him away
Life in the city, goes on today.
This is a city, of mixed race
Different kind of people, allover the place,
Whites, blacks, mexican, jews
Another killing,on the evening news.
Many people, gather around
As they lower him, into the ground,
He leaves behind two kids, and a wife
This is just part,of city life.
A time to live, a time to die,
Best friend, just got shot in the head
He's laying in the middle of the street dead.
Police say, it was gang related
My friend, was the kind that never hated,
Ambulance comes, takes him away
Life in the city, goes on today.
This is a city, of mixed race
Different kind of people, allover the place,
Whites, blacks, mexican, jews
Another killing,on the evening news.
Many people, gather around
As they lower him, into the ground,
He leaves behind two kids, and a wife
This is just part,of city life.
