Missing You Memories

Missing You Memories

I missed your name
and I missed your fame
and I missed talking to you all the same

I missed the times we spent together
holding hands, walking through the rain
and I missed the times walking by the shore
hand in hand and I missed standing there
with the waves overlapping our feet

I missed the thought of having you by my side
And the way you used to look and me and smile
I missed how you used to hold me in your arms
as I silently cry
I missed how you used to make me
feel when I walked into a room
like a princess, walking to her prince charming

I missed your tender kisses and your soft caresses
And I missed the way you used to brush my hair
so tenderly away from my face and
most of all I missed your laughter and
I missed just knowing you are there
and how you would help me through and
I missed just being there with you, just us two

And now that we have passed our way
and I recollect these thoughts of you
I am still missing you and all that is left
are memories of how much I have missed you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
