Mirrored Sentiments
I thought you changed my mind, defined my being at its bestA mirrored kind unwinds in time , frustration's laid to rest
If the positive is what you give, in turn you shall receive
Hold strong to hopes & dreams & things you soulfully believe
The younger you may hunger for the gratitude least earned
But a bit of bliss can list you wishing, unheard and unlearned
Pick a moment, day, a time, a place, and meditate alone
'Cause in solitude we tend to sieze ideas yet untold
Try to align your mind deaf & blind & feel from inside out
At your highest elevation you overcome your steepest route
To understand is human, to overstand is of the soul
Fear will keep you grounded but love says to let go
Your inhibitions compromise the gift of peace at will
Leaving spans of shady sacrifices, glasses left unfilled
I write this not to teach you, but simply remind myself
These words I am reflecting to regenerate life's wealth
I believe in the utmost, no matter to whose degree
We all have our ideas, but free only means one thing
We find comfort in restrictions, why-they represent embrace
We hide behind our anger and loosely call it saving face
We ask the question 'why' forgetting the answer is within
We welcome tainted happiness and deem below as sin
It all equates to ways we waste the purity of truth
Yet what will be IS- each passing day producing proof
To see you have to close your eyes, to feel you close your mind
To be you have to realize reality's unkind
To live you must visualize existence beyond senses
To have faith you must believe there are no coincidences
There are no lessons to learn, and no warnings to heed
There's no such thing as race or creed- we all bleed
Hate is defamation masking emotions unrepented
Differences are creativity of wellness, unrelenting
I'm sure you've been graced with the phrase "Life is what you make it"
So turn the lemons into lemonade- the world is yours so TAKE IT!
