    i wrote this after i lost a very special man....he was a good friend

    Lost Myself

     I've been gone all day
    most of my life
    and i can't see
    where my life is leading
    where my memories have gone
    why can't i find myself
    why do i feel so lost
    you are here
    you've guided me back
    showing me where i could be found
    where i went
    held my hand
    so i didn't lose myself
    like i always did
    with out you
    holding me here
    don't let go
    or I'll lose myself
    you're here at last
    you are not leaving me
    to get lost
    you don't let me
    lose myself
    couldn't ever let me
    lose myself
    while i slept
    while you woke
    while you watched
    while i got lost
    you're here again
    holding me tight
    not going let me
    lose myself
    to all the painful memories
    you keep me smiling
    while I'm down
    still not letting me
    lose myself
    you held me close and wouldn't let me go
    you never let me
    lose myself
    never again will i
    lose myself
    all i can do is think of you
    you're here again...
    holding my hand
    not letting go
    you're never going to
    let me lose myself
    to all the fear of the past
    you hold me close
    and kiss me softly
    still never going to lose myself
    you're always keeping me
    from ever losing myself
    I'll never lose myself
    while i sit with you
    never again lose myself
    when I'm with you
    don't let go
    hold on tight
    I'll lose myself
    so don't let go
