    Let Me Help

    Shoulders hunched over, head hangs low –

    Most people think you’re just half asleep.

    You hide behind this mask you show;

    They don’t see the secret you keep.

    But I know the truth behind your lies –

    I’ve seen your pain, and I’m here for you.

    Your sorrow escapes out through your eyes,

    They show your soul, what they say is true.

    I’ll try to help as best I can,

    Just tell me what you’d like me to do.

    I’d like to stop and give you a hand,

    But that’s only if you want me to.

    I understand that this is hard.

    Let me carry part of your burden, this heavy  load.

    With me it’s safe to let down your guard,

    And maybe I can walk with you down this road.

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
