Depression Hurts
Depression…hurts.
You feel alone, hopeless, helpless,
Worthless.
Dragging people down to the lowest of levels,
Feeding off every emotion.
Taking the light,
the hope,
the happiness,
Leaving only the sad,
the pointless,
the lifeless.
But you are smart, you’re funny, you’re loved,
And with a little help you can succeed;
Maybe not at home, but you have friends,
And sometimes friends can be your family.
They can do what your mother and father didn’t.
They can be who your brother and sister weren’t.
They can help you see you don’t need to live in misery,
And if you’re happy,
Then we’re all happy.
Yours truly for forever and for always,
Depression and Misery
You feel alone, hopeless, helpless,
Worthless.
Dragging people down to the lowest of levels,
Feeding off every emotion.
Taking the light,
the hope,
the happiness,
Leaving only the sad,
the pointless,
the lifeless.
But you are smart, you’re funny, you’re loved,
And with a little help you can succeed;
