In this life i've learned many things,
you can't always prepare for what life brings,
pleasing everyone is something you just can't do,
focusing on yourself will make it easier for you,
never put yourself in a position you can't get out of,
like choosing the wrong person and falling in love,
this is the one thing i've learned,
having someone to love you must be earned,
you can say I love you everyday, but
that doesn't mean that things will go your way,
giving someone your complete heart,
could be a bad thing and rip you apart,
i've learned that love can be great,
and with the right person you'll forget how to hate,
even with the things i've learned,
it seems I always end up burned,
love is hard and also rough, and
in their eyes, love is never enough.
