Laela
Almost a year has passed,
By the hand of another you were taken away.
Yet in my heart you are still here with all of us,
Smiling throughtout the day.
Gleaming like the sun witha warmth and glow for a sunflower to follow.
But then reality sets in,
That you really are gone.
My soul fills with sorrow.
I can still see you,
In the faces of your children,
Strong and proud.
You're in a better place,
To keep an eye on all of us,
Our guardian angel from beyond yet all around.
We will miss your laughter, your style, and grace.
But most of all we will iss your smiling face.
