    Just a Loan

    Darkness crawling inside my mind,
    eating memories, rendering me blind,
all gone, memories, nothing can I find...

Carved empty inside, pain veiling my sorrow,
sorrow veiling my pain, I am feeling so hollow...

Sea of tears, drowning all, life is just a loan...

Pure sorrow speaks in these words of yours. Life is a loan, of time and space to fill with whatever we choose to fill it with. Of course it always offers us those less and desirable gifts at times. Well done. ~Pamela

...and we are on borrowed time. Lol - nice!! I like the way you establish tone. I related to this one, by envisioning the darkness as the fear of passing time.

This is a beautiful expression, it went straight to my favorites!

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
