Read my lines and try to understand,
The thoughts in my mind,
How I see the world,
The battles going on inside that no one else can see,
Never winning nor losing as words start to spill,
Forming sentences and paragraphs.
An insight to how I think,
Yet never to the full extent,
Vague images that tease the mind.
Underneath it all lies a history,
A story of a life not one person can tell,
Except its owner,
Who chooses not to share.
Not ashamed to claim this life,
But not trusting enough to reveal it all.
Beneath these layers lies a hidden message,
Jumbled and twisted,
An enigma encrypted by years of trial and error,
Stored away for another time.
The thoughts in my mind,
How I see the world,
The battles going on inside that no one else can see,
Never winning nor losing as words start to spill,
Forming sentences and paragraphs.
An insight to how I think,
Yet never to the full extent,
Vague images that tease the mind.
Underneath it all lies a history,
A story of a life not one person can tell,
Except its owner,
Who chooses not to share.
Not ashamed to claim this life,
But not trusting enough to reveal it all.
Beneath these layers lies a hidden message,
Jumbled and twisted,
An enigma encrypted by years of trial and error,
Stored away for another time.
