Jack Frost
Jack Frost came dancing through
Snow white with eyes of blue
Everyplace that he did caress
The white frost did possess
Spreading out in many a tendril
Going where ever it will
Across the field once so green
Now covered in an icy sheen
Up across the barn and around
Until it covered all the ground
Capricious he turned and went
Leaving the frost he’d lent
I watched his cold rambling path
Which heralds winters icy wrath
He dashed off through the trees
Where his dire frost did seize
Making the golden leaves shiver
With each touch he did deliver
Up the hill along the first ridge
Then down through the covered bridge
Then he was gone out of sight
Leaving a trail of silvery white
Snow white with eyes of blue
Everyplace that he did caress
The white frost did possess
Spreading out in many a tendril
Going where ever it will
Across the field once so green
Now covered in an icy sheen
Up across the barn and around
Until it covered all the ground
Capricious he turned and went
Leaving the frost he’d lent
I watched his cold rambling path
Which heralds winters icy wrath
He dashed off through the trees
Where his dire frost did seize
Making the golden leaves shiver
With each touch he did deliver
Up the hill along the first ridge
Then down through the covered bridge
Then he was gone out of sight
Leaving a trail of silvery white
