I've Chosen

I've chosen a chance to understand the truths that plague a man's heart from deep within;
I chosen a chance to relish in belief that life can be more than what it seems;
I've chosen a chance to actually take an adventure to another fate;
I've chosen a chance to live life to the fullest without the deepest regrets;
I've chosen a chance to empathize with another's heart while feeling the beating of my own;
I've chosen a chance to learn to let go of what never could be and allow myself to be free;
take life by the horns I am told-
Reach for the stars before I become old-
choose a chance to surrender so well;
and don't look back on the regrets but use them as
opportunities for some someone else...
I've chosen a chance to be free and not waste time;
let life teach me to be me to understand that then is truth indeed...

Dana, I also enjoyed this poem. Keep up the good work. Blessings, Lois J.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
