    Is This Where It Ends

She built you up to something you’re not

She honestly believed you were this fantasy

To outsiders looking in, you were this man

But this man you were not, and it took her long to see.

Thinking it would bring you closer

She pushed herself through the trials

Though she thought it for the best

She wound up alone and in denial.

She has experienced all the heartaches

    She has endured the pain

She needs someone to pick her up

    And love what still remains.

For her prince awaits, as is not hard to find

When you possess the traits as she

They will come from far and wait in line.

The question is:  deep down is she over him?

Or is this another trial through which she’ll plunder?

Only she is the beholder of the answer

Everyone else can just sit and wonder.
