Impressions of Me

I am happy I am strong
Doing what I like I belong,

I know I'm not perfect nor do I want to be
I just want to be myself I want to be me,

No pretense around me can be found
I am what I am I feel safe and sound

I don't have to be beautiful I don't care to be smart
i don't want to be a figurine I don't want to be art,

Just relax and take it all in
Sometimes I won't budge sometimes I bend

I'm just passing through no place to be
I hope first impressions is you see God in me!

This poem is very simply written, but has a very strong depiction of God. Love the writting style that you have chosen to present this piece in.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
