  • Fuck You

    ignorant now

    the times that i wish
    for everything to stop
    with you creeping closer
    my head filled with thoughts

    just a second to stare
    without you to see
so you can't hide your eyes
    maybe then i could breathe

    the times that i wish
    wish, for silence

    the nights that i dream
    of a moment less cruel
    the timing less painful
    i've shown you the fool

    as i trip over loss
    and fall into shame
    i'm trapped inside regret
    drowning in pain

    the nights that i dream
    dream i'm not seen

    so fuck what i am
    and fuck all my words
a waste of breath is my tongue
    and my soul is unheard

Thank you, Stellar! I'm looking forward to reading your work. I really enjoyed your analogy of cameras to poets in your biography. :)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
