    • I can say a million words, and you still would never understand

    I miss you

    I miss you,

I wish that you didn’t have to go,

    I look into your eyes,

But when you look back it’s not the same as before,

You don’t look at me with the passion you did,

Instead I see resentment in your eyes,

Something I never wanted to see,

Although I still have no clue as to why it’s there,

Someone hurt you, I can see it,

After I left, you found someone,

But she didn’t treat you right,

You can tell by your strained personality,

    You’re scared,

    I can feel it.

I wish that you didn’t have to go home,

I wish that you could stay here with me,

    So I can show you,

    That I still care,

That I still love you and that I never stopped.

I wish that I could hold you embrace,

    Just to feel your warmth,

Instead of the coldness that she has put in your heart,

I wish that I could make you see,

That I have always been the one for you,

I just had to move away,

So that my parents could find a better lifestyle,

I need you to know that even though,

    I have someone now,

    That if you needed me,

I would be there for you,

    Right by your side,

    It a heartbeat,

No matter what the consequences are.

Now that this season has come about,

And I’m not home to share it with you,

    I feel empty,

    I feel lost,

Because I won’t wake up and walk into the living room,

    On Christmas morning,

And see your gentle sleeping face,

And touch your cheek and you wake up,

    With a love felt embrace,

    I’m not home,

And oh how I long to be,

So that you don’t have to suffer through it all alone,

I want to make it all better for you,

I miss you and wish you didn’t have to go home,

Because in reality you belong here in my arms,

Safe and warm in the presence of someone who loves you.
