    Hallucinogen Honey

    *Good night,*

    You've played such an excellent game.
    Made it through another day.

    *Play thing.*

    That's what I was-
    Who I am, to your shattered mind.

    *I have*

    Given everything to hold you close.
    To find your love intangible, inexistant.

    *I inspired fear*

    Keep me coming back for more
    Of the damage you so readily share.

    *In your soul.*

    You lost reality, a steady black hole,
    Destroyed my dreams and refused to know.

    *I admire you*

    You've captured my mind,
    Made me forget who, what I was.

    *Resisting your past,*

    So I could follow your faulty lead,
    Become your filthy breed.

    *To become only mine.*

    I thought we were a two way street,
    A way to finally be completely real.

    *Somehow you*

    How could you let it be fake,
    Yet so completely honest to the fault?

    *Captured my eye,*

    I'm just another pawn in your play.
    Made me another actor on your stage.

    *Distracted my aim,*

    And yet you hold my heart
    In the palm of your hand, squeezing gently.

    *Demanded my attention,*

    So focused on me to the point of destruction.
    I love you though you've broken me,

    {Enraptured my senses,}
    {And have driven me wild with}
    {Hallucinogen honey.}

    *To love is a weakness that can be....*

    To love a hate so strong can be...

    {Fatal.}

    *But without your emotion...*

    Without your strength...

    {I am the walking dead regardless.}

    heartspill, A masterful way of letting the reader know that this love has gone bad and the poet is somehow the victim here. Creatively spoken. Ginga

    "{I am the walking dead regardless.}" —— so much passion and truth in this line. This poem is a perfect response to broken love.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
