    Forgotten

    Pretty faces,
    Forgotten names &
    Abandoned spaces,

    Where they once remembered you,
Where they once embraced your being.

    Pretty eyes,
    Forgotten teardrops &
    Empty cries,

Where they once had mourned for you,
Where they once watched your face.

    Pretty smile
    Forgotten muscles &
    Hollow guile,

Where they once performed for you,
Where they once charmed your mind

    Pretty hands,
    Forgotten fingers &
    Silent demands,

Where they once grasped for you,
Where they once held your forgotten fate.

I'm loving the structure. Uniquely stated and created.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
