Dead Dreams

Dead Dreams

A trembling that reaches
Down past your soul
To that place where you hide
With no where to go

A nightmare in process
Built of dead dreams
Lost in cacophony
From your cells' very being

The discord of the movement
Lays harmony to rest
Not even angels could reconcile
This death

There is truth
There is lies
But duplicity in the destruction
That muffles your cries

On a new wave of pain
A new wave of thought
A new revelation
Of torture once forgot

Swallowing solitude
Chewing glass urns
Blood in a mouth
Cut by jagged laughter

Ash in teeth
From a dead dream cremation
The nighmare builds
And eclipses creation

The body begins a terrible tremble
Down past what's left of the soul
To find a place where you once would hide
When you had no where else to go

heart, This is one true heart wrencher and is said with poise and emphasis in such an eloquent style. Regardless some of the deep emotional pain rises to the surface to let the reader know all is not well. ginga

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
