Goodbye Mike
Spellbound. We couldn’t believe, this cute little boy, was just a seed.
Of a plant, that would blossom to be, the wizard of song and dance. Yeah. I’m talkin’ bout M – I – K – E.
The King of Pop, was his joy. Soon, became his brand,
which also, lead to the beginning, of Never,--Never Never Land.
We will remember the music, from “I Want You Back” to “Liberian Girl”
We will remember, how those riveting moves, dazzled, the world.
I can just close my eyes, and I can clearly see,
The first time he Moonwalked, at the Motown 25th, anniversary.
Man! Look at him go. A lot of kids, including me.
Learned, every word of his songs; and at night, dreamt to be.
The media criticized, and questioned how he lived
Not caring of the love, to the world, he had, to give.
He’s was called the superstar, that from grace has fallen
Probably because, too many bad bees, had sucked out, all his pollen.
Now that he’s gone, there’s many pictures, and stories galore.
It’s just a matter of time, when those bullshit stories, are in your local, grocery store.
