Gods Greatest Love

Gods Greatest Love

What a dark and sinful world Lord for you to send your son to live
to walk among people who did't realize what you had to give
This world has no heart Lord, everyone has turned cold, how could you in your heart God ever let him go
You knew how much he would suffer Lord to have to endure such pain,
nailed apon that cross for all of us who live in vain
In my heart I know Lord how much we mean to you, to send your only son to suffer your love must be great and true
How your heart must have ached Lord, as you watched your son die
how your tears must have fallen from your suffering eyes
I know you wanted to reach down and hold him close to you, but you loved us more Lord so you knew this was what he had to do
How can this world not know what you did for all mankind
you saved us from damnation and made our hopes sublime
Our savior and Lord, our salvation from above, who suffered and died for all of us he loved.

so true and so good

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
