A BABY BOY

A BABY BOY

On a very dark night a star shown in the sky so bright

It shined down on a baby boy, one who would bring this world joy

The angles were happy singing songs of praise, they knew what this child brought on this day

This baby boy that has come was Gods own wonderful son

He was born to save all of mankind and to open the eyes to all who are blind

As he grew he knew the price he would pay, on that dark and shameful day

He died a death that was painful and wrong, he died for our sins and there were no songs

As he promised he rose from the grave, to show us all what would be for us one day

So if you want to see heaven when your time comes, give your heart to Jesus and remember what he has done

He died for you and set you free to be with him through out eternity

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
